Rob began his professional career in 1999, after attending Wendelstedt Umpire School. He then was assigned to the New York-Penn League in 1999. He worked the Mid-West League in 2000 before being promoted to the Florida State League in 2001. Rob advanced to Double-A, spending time in the Eastern League from 2003 to 2005. He was promoted to the International league, working in Triple-A from 2006 – 2009. During this time, he was invited to work Arizona Fall League. Additionally, he worked MLB Spring Training in 2009. Furthermore, Rob served as an instructor at the prestigious Harry Wendelstedt Umpire School from 2001 to 2009. He is the current owner/operator of Rhode Island Umpires, a business that trains and certifies umpires before independently contracting them to leagues. Rob’s experience in instruction, evaluation, and assignment guarantees that NECU’s tradition of excellence will continue.
Rob currently umpires in the ACC, Sun Belt, and Atlantic Ten conferences. Rob has four beautiful children.
